Tanks are the main land combat vehicle. They are more armored than SPGs, but less armored than APCs. They are able to mount regular cannons, machine guns and mortars while being relatively safe against machine guns and ball shots. They are best used in open terrain, as trees and mountains will leave them vulnerable to flanking due to limit mobility and obstructed firing lanes.
Tanks are strong against machine guns and infantry, but weak against long cannons, and to a lesser extend, regular cannons. Due to the limited block count, tanks will be rendered useless after a single HE shot. Their best defense against regular cannons and mortars is to stay mobile, making a hard target, but long cannons will defeat this tactic with its incredible velocity. While a direct hit is a death sentence to a tank, you can increase your survivability against near misses with sufficient armor.
